NEC has introduced the Express 5800 series/iModel servers, which feature superior energy- and space-saving capabilities to respond to the demands of iDC professionals seeking a solution to various problems like consolidation, energy constrains, various applications and linux support.
Recently the usage has remarkably increased with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and others and its growing usage is attracting significant attention. In recent years, along with the spread of the Internet, the introduction of Linux in the areas of network servers in schools and businesses has been increasing. In addition, the user requirements of using Linux with superior performance and high stability are remarkably increasing.
To cope with these user demands, NEC provides the "NEC Express5800 Linux Models" with Linux operations verified in advance to support users’ Linux needs and certified on RedHat Linux.

  • NEC checks basic operation such as installation and booting.
  • NEC Provides information for the machine which special setting is required by the customers.
